Liz and Harry's Fall Wedding in Alexandria VA

It's ridiculous how behind I am at blogging but since yesterday was the first day of fall I thought I'd (finally) share this gorgeous wedding from last October!

Liz and Harry's wedding ceremony was held outdoors at the Waterfront Park in Alexandria although the actual ceremony was a bit delayed because the entire wedding party was stuck in an elevator and required rescue from the local fire department. The couple's story went viral and they were interviewed on Good Morning America while on their honeymoon! Read more about it here and here.

The color story was rich jewel-tone fall shades including deep red, vibrant orange and royal purple. The bridal bouquet was a modern sleek design of only jewel-toned calla lilies in crimson, mango and eggplant. The bridesmaid's carried a seasonal mix of roses, dahlias, salvia, hypericum, spray roses and seeded eucalyptus which really popped against their plum gowns. The ceremony was held outside on the waterfront under a simple birch chuppah.

The reception was located at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria with low and lush centerpieces with a funky mix of flowers all in autumn tones. We used succulents, protea, artichokes, kale and black pearl peppers along with fall foliage, bittersweet, roses, ranunculus and dahlias in the centerpieces.

Liz and Harry are an amazing couple and were such a pleasure to work with!
